Why its been worth all the hard work

At any time in any project there comes a time when you ask yourself: 'is it worth all the hard work and effort?'

Is it? The stress of feeling so busy all the time. To feel responsible on so many levels?
The answer for theCarni and Kunsthaus is that yes it is.
It has at times been a struggle. Sometimes you feel like you are banging your head into a wall. Am I the only one with dreams? To have a sense of urgency, to be aspiring towards a goal?
I want to aid those who want it, to help them by letting them be part of a growing group of artists.
Sometimes it feels like everybody is working for themselves, and you have to ask yourself if its worth it.
All I know is that we can not let down the charity next year, and it will go well. My work, I am sure will be fine also. As for the others, well, it just proves with a little push, some just can't be moved!!

Its hard letting go in some areas, cutting my losses so to speak. Trim the fat. Out with the old and in with the new!! It really isn't that bad surely, but to try and try, and only to talk to myself, feels repetitive, and time consuming.

This is how you feel often when doing this sort of work, and trying to get a group of very diverse and multicultural people to pull in one direction. Our weakness is exactly this, that we are so very different, including musicians, dancers, actors, writers, photographers, artists of all shapes and forms really and with time zones to compete with on top.

However, this is our strength also, with such a rich diversity and with a will to overcome our differences and speak the language all artists understand we can do more than one artist can alone, and we can put up a real show for any charity event and in any venue available to us.
We are learning together and our experience and creativity can overcome all the hard times that we are faced with when organizing ourselves in the future.

The Carni and Kunsthaus is going to change, we are going to become a smaller, more focused group and work closer together. We are at this moment building a group that will work together.

Soon, you the readers of this blog will get a taste of some of what and who we are. You will hear from our members sharing with you their thoughts and inspirations, their tastes and their views on culture and arts. This blog will include our thoughts and give you an insight in how artists work and think.
Most importantly it will be fun, so remember to bookmark us and read whats new in the world of the Carni.
